This German made SIG butter packaging machine in Norway has been churning out thousands of units of this delicious, wrapped spread since the early 1980’s driven by a Dynamatic Eddy Current drive with an integral brake. This SIG machine uses a Dynamatic AC-186 5HP drive with a friction brake along with a Model 4000 controller to power the machine’s main gear box via a fan belt. Originally supplied back in 1982, the drive and brake have been part of the daily production of butter for quite some time now.

“The Dynamatic system has proved to be exceptionally durable and dependable throughout all these years,” says Øyvind Meisfjord Automation Technician for TINE Meieriet SANDNESSJØEN dairy plant in Sandnessjøen, Norway.

Eddy current products are designed and manufactured to withstand the rigors of constant use over long periods of time. When maintained properly these Dynamatic products can keep on churning for years and years. Isn’t that a tasty proposition!
